Catapilco Parade

English squad: Mrs. Monica, Lauren, Bennette, and myself - Sept.10 Friday

The entire town of Catapilco has been intentionally left with dirt roads. It is a feel of the way it was before modern roads.

We arrived at 10am only to wait for 3 hours before our school actually had to go on to the line to parade past the dignataries.

Mrs. Monica - our English Teacher

Let me introduce Mrs. Monica. She lives in Valparaiso near Vina del Mar and travels 2 long hrs in the morning to get to school. Here she is putting on her make-up for our school parade day in Catapilco.

When we got back from the parade she had to take public transport back to her house. In Chile it is permitted to hitchhike, so Mrs. Monica is doing just that here as I left her at the side of the road. No one stopped and she ended up taking the bus back to her home, another 2 hrs to her day.
