A teaching journey with the English Open Doors Program of the Ministry of Education and the United Nations Development Programme-Chile. I welcome my viewers to our volunteer work in Chile. At first, the blogging seems a bit rough, however, with time my experiences will provide the structure. Enjoy! Catapilco Parade
Mrs. Monica - our English Teacher
Let me introduce Mrs. Monica. She lives in Valparaiso near Vina del Mar and travels 2 long hrs in the morning to get to school. Here she is putting on her make-up for our school parade day in Catapilco.
When we got back from the parade she had to take public transport back to her house. In Chile it is permitted to hitchhike, so Mrs. Monica is doing just that here as I left her at the side of the road. No one stopped and she ended up taking the bus back to her home, another 2 hrs to her day.
